I’m going to try to blog our way through our vacation to Branson, MO which started with a long drive last night. We are headed down to the Sack family reunion (Sack is Becky’s grandma’s maiden name). We made it to Council Bluffs, IA (that’s Iowan for Omaha) at 11:35 last night with two sleeping girls. Neither Becky nor I seemed to sleep too well last night, but we’re up and at ’em for the big Twins game today.
I’m not sure what makes a hotel a 3-star hotel, but the Western Inn in Council Bluffs sure seems like a stretch to be a 2-star to me with the fact that other than the 5-year old computer I’m using, nothing’s been updated here in 30 years. I actually got a key for my room (not a plastic card) – that hasn’t happened in a couple years.
Well, time to get out of here and on the road. I’ll give you all the details of the big battle between the 3rd and 4th place teams in the AL Central later tonight.
