In 2018, we bought a really cool restaurant in Barnesville called the Purple Goose. It opened in 2016 and we enjoyed going there as it featured pizza, burgers and beer and had a cool vibe. When the owner wanted to sell, we got the crazy idea of getting into the restaurant business and decided to buy it. In June 2020 (the worst possible time to open a restaurant), we partnered with some of our friends to open a restaurant and event center just outside of Barnesville called The Pitchfork. The building has been a long-time staple of Barnesville, serving as a bar, supper club and bowling alley for much of its existence as the Galaxie. We were excited to bring it back to life and provide a more upscale dining option for people of the area. We haven’t been able to host events yet but we will offering it up as an event space here in 2021 and we look forward to welcoming more people. Check out our site at https://www.the-pitchfork.com.
