Katie’s Halloween Night

We had a lot planned for the girls last night (mostly Katie) to celebrate Halloween, and here’s a quick run down:   5:10 Picked the girls up from Day Care – they had a good day except for Amelia bit someone again 5:20 Got home and decided to go with a supper of yogurt, cheeseContinue reading “Katie’s Halloween Night”

Anyone Need a Secretary?

Katie’s been working on her words and letters, so what else does a computer guy do, but show her how to use Microsoft Word.  So here’s her first document – I may have helped some – but she decided how big and what color everything should be.  She also typed Amelia’s name.   Rebecca (BeckyContinue reading “Anyone Need a Secretary?”

Isaac Thomas Hofer

We have a new nephew!  Becky’s sister Heather gave birth to Isaac Thomas Hofer last night (Oct 29) at 10pm after a long day of labor.  He was 7 pounds, 9 ounces and is doing well.  His older brothers are on their way to see him right now.   We’ll head down to see himContinue reading “Isaac Thomas Hofer”

Halloween 2007

The Halloween season actually started for us on Labor Day when we got out all the decorations, but now we’re coming to the apex on Wednesday.  Today we had our annual party with our friends and we have the pictures to prove it.  In case you couldn’t tell, Katie is dressed up as Dora Mermaid,Continue reading “Halloween 2007”

Fantasy Basketball League

I didn’t think I was going to join a fantasy basketball league, but at the last minute I was convinced because it sounded like a small time commitment.  We’re drafting right now online, so I don’t have to go anywhere and I could hang out with my girls until they had to go to bed.Continue reading “Fantasy Basketball League”

Catching Up

I’ve had lots of ideas for blog entries, but for whatever reason I just haven’t put finger to keyboard to crank anything out lately.  Here are some updates:   Amelia is expanding her vocabulary – she can say nah, yeah, uh-oh and daa (short for daddy).  She throws a few other words in sometimes likeContinue reading “Catching Up”

The Bunkhouse

If you didn’t know where Becky was from, I could give 1 million guesses at what her favorite restaurant was and you wouldn’t get it.  But even if you knew where she was from and I walked you into this restaurant, you wouldn’t guess it.  Since the restaurant only serves her favorite food from 6pmContinue reading “The Bunkhouse”

On Turning 33

I had my birthday recently, and I’m trying to cope with this 33 year old body.  On my birthday, I was thinking, maybe I’m a "young" 33.  However, after helping my buddy with his deck on Saturday and feeling it for three days later, I realized that I’m definitely an "old" 33.   Birthdays changeContinue reading “On Turning 33”

In Memory of Marcia Neisius

My friend and former colleague, Marcia Neisius, died last Wednesday in a car accident on her way home from Minneapolis.  She worked on my team when I first became a manager, and we kept in touch over the last five years as we were on different teams.  I was asked to write something for theContinue reading “In Memory of Marcia Neisius”

Amelia’s Love of Shoes

I guess we may have the next Carrie Bradshaw on our hands.  It’s interesting how Katie wants to have her shoes off all the time, but Amelia must have shoes on at all times.   I can’t really pinpoint when this started, but the biggest example was one morning in Branson as we were allContinue reading “Amelia’s Love of Shoes”
