We are very slow, but happy to say that Kya Merriam Newell joined the family back on September 17, 2010. Kya is my brother Marc and his wife Kari’s third child, and first girl. Parker and Sawyer are excited to be joined by a little sister, and Kari’s mom was so excited, she actually screamed in the hospital.
We got to see Kya the day after she was born in the hospital – we were planning to go to a Twins game that weekend, so it worked out well to go see the baby after the game. We got to hold baby Kya and it was great to see she was doing great.
Two weeks ago, we had Kya’s baptism and Becky and I were honored to be sponsors for Kya. We got to spend Saturday at Marc and Kari’s and Katie and Amelia have a great time there.
