Not much for a story today – we lolly-gagged at breakfast long enough we had to sprint to get on our 7:52 train. I actually didn’t stop sweating until a couple hours later. From the train we got to to the airport and had to hop on a bus to get to our terminal. We went through this line where they ask about your luggage but don’t do anything really, then we checked in, then we went through security, then we went through Passport control and then we had to catch another bus back to the terminal where our flight was leaving from. The airport looked modern, but it didn’t have nearly enough places to sit and the speaker system was more muffled than if they’d have spoken Swahili.
It was a very long day as we got up at 11:20 pm our time and basically have to stay up 24 hours straight. Sleeping on the plane is not really happening as we’re used to being up at this time. After being gone for this long, we really just want to get home and see our girls as quickly as we can. It was a great trip, but we are ready to be home again.
We made it home at 10:45 – it was great to see the girls again – they were so excited to see us and it’s great to be home.
