We have another girl in the family – David and Alicia are the proud parents of a newborn baby girl – Macia Lynn Newell. She was born Monday, April 25th at 12:58 and weighed in at 8lbs 9oz and 21in long.
It was a long weekend for Alicia as she started having contractions Friday afternoon and kept on going slowly throughout the weekend. They went to the hospital at midnight on Sunday night and they weren’t going too fast. She missed out on the epidural and things started moving about 8:30 in the morning and the baby was in their hands at 1pm.
I got the call from dad at 1:15 at work, and was able to talk Becky into leaving to go home. I was planning to pick up the girls and take them down there with my parents and Becky agreed to come along as well. So we made the 3 hour trip down there to get there about 6pm to see the baby. We stayed and had supper with Dave and headed back at 8pm. It definitely made for a long night, but it was well worth it.
