We had our first parent teacher conference tonight for Katie since she started Kindergarten. Mrs. Messer did a nice job of going through multiple areas and talking about how Katie is performing. She talked about her word recognition, color recognition and even ability to pick up themes within a story.
Katie is doing great in all areas, so that’s very cool to see as a parent. Mrs. Messer said she is like a junior teacher (like her friend Tessa was last year) because she even helps out the other kids with their work when she’s done with hers. Becky asked if that’s a good thing or an annoying thing, and we were relieved to hear it’s a good thing.
Sorry to be a bragging parent, but it’s cool to see she’s doing well thus far.
