Thursday was our biggest day with Extra Magic at Magic Kingdom – that means the park opened up an hour early for those people who stayed on campus. We got their early and managed to hit a lot of the kids rides right away like the Pooh ride, the Peter Pan ride and Snow White. We also got to hit the Car driving ride where Katie crashed me lots of times. We thought we were getting on the Tomorrowland Transit, but ended up going on the Astro Orbiter which was a pretty fast moving tide that the girls ended up liking. We went back towards the princesses tent at just the right time, because we were able to see Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Belle without much of a wait. The girls loved it – they got their autographs and got to take pictures with them. After that we waited a while for Ariel, but got to see her too.
We ended up running into our neighbors as they waited for Tigger and Pooh. They were staying at the same hotel and had practically the same schedule we did. It was cool to catch up with there, and we ended up having a beer in the lounge later that night. We went to the Adventureland area where we hit the Aladdin flying carpet ride and the Jungle Cruise.
The main event that day was our late lunch at Cinderella’s castle. The weather had turned for the worse right about then, so it was a good time to be inside. We got to have a photo shoot with Cinderella before ascending the stairs to dine in the castle. Shortly after we sat down, Jasmine, Belle, Sleepy Beauty and Snow White came out to mingle with the royalty (that’s what they called us during dinner). The food was good – it was definitely the most expensive hot dog I ever saw – as Katie’s meal cost like $50. The girls loved it – they got to keep a little princess wand and talk to all the princesses. It was raining hard after this so we high-tailed it out of there.

To sum up the day in one word: princesses. We sure saw a lot of them at the Magic Kingdom. We made it there early and hit lots of rides. We hit the princess autograph tent at the right time and got to have a late lunch in Cinderella’s castle with princesses. The rain hit hard after that so we laid low in the evening. I met up with a neighbor who’s down here at the same time, same hotel for a drink.
