We hit the Animal Kingdom early on Wednesday. It’s a cool combination of a zoo and an amusement park. We had breakfast right away and got to be joined by Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy. Amelia was a little nervous of the characters, but Katie loved it. We ate Mickey-shaped waffles and enjoyed the buffet. We got to take pictures with all the characters as they came around to our table. Next we went to the Kilimijaro Safari which I thought was very cool. You board an extended jeep and head through the savanna so you can see lions, elephants, alligators, hippos, etc. all in a replica of their habitat. The girls really liked the safari too.
We went to the Finding Nemo show after that – it was a musical with people holding the puppets. The choreography and acting was really good. We went towards the Lion King show next and Katie stopped to see Minnie on the way. The Lion King show was a little different – the music was really good. After the show Becky went on the Expedition Everest rollercoaster and the girls and I played in a big sandbox with fossils in buried in it. We saw the afternoon parade which was good – all the characters came by in their safari garb. After that we headed back home and went out to eat at Planet Hollywood. We walked around Downtown Disney, but there wasn’t too much to see there.

Today – Animal Kingdom. It’s an amusement park and a zoo together. We had breakfast w/ our pals Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy. We went on the safari – very cool. We saw both the Nemo and Lion King shows. The girls favorite part was playing in the sand at this sandbox with mammoth fossils. We saw the parade then high-tailed it out. For supper we went to Dowtown Disney to eat at Planet Hollywood. Tomorrow we go to the magic kingdom for our biggest and longest day.
