A few weeks ago when I was in Munich I got addicted to the song "I’m Yours" by Jason Mraz. When I got home, I learned how to play it on guitar (it’s not hard) and started playing it for the girls. Amelia started singing the "I’m Yours" part, but she would say "Oh No" and she would sing it over and over again. She finally knows more than just I’m Yours now, so it’s much better. Katie thinks (and I haven’t corrected her yet) that this is some song I wrote, so she was just delighted last week when she told me this:
Katie: Daddy, I heard your song on the radio today. It was on the bus ride to school, and it was really your song.
Daddy: Yes, that’s my song
Amelia has been talking in sentences now and that has seemingly come out of nowhere. She had this good phrase last week too as we were walking upstairs from the basement looking at our family pictures.
Amelia: Daddy, is that grandma and grandpa?
Me: Yes, honey
Amelia: Daddy, is that mama? and daddy?
Me: Yes, that’s our wedding picture.
Amelia: Mama looks like a princess!
I had some other quote in my mind to put down, but I can’t remember it. I am getting old.
