First, I really need to get my picture off the top of the blog. Second, I need to keep talking about Amelia and her appetite, because people don’t really believe it until they see her eat.
For example, tonight she ate what I would call two adult servings of green beans, one adult serving of mashed potatoes, a fruit cup full of peaches, a piece of bread, and then she ate the rest of Katie’s green beans and potatoes. She was still hungry, of course, but after a while we get bored feeding her.
This weekend she went to eat with aunts Somer and Heather and they went to Taco Johns. She ate a full kids size quesadilla plus the left over food of her cousin Zach and she was still hungry. They were duly impressed.
Outside the food arena, she’s made some good progress on a few fronts. She’s really gotten vocal lately, perhaps because her sister never stops talking, she’s decided she’d better get in on this. She’s not making much sense yet, but you can see she’s catching on to things. She has gotten better at walking around on furniture, but she hasn’t taken her first solo steps yet. She has finally started to wave – something she hadn’t been doing thus far. She is also into clapping every time she does something now – it’s pretty funny.
If I can give any word of warning if you watch Amelia – hide all food and drink. Then she’ll be fine. If not, you’ll have an angry baby on your hands.
