Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I think Katie’s finally asleep now (she didn’t go down until 10:20), so I have a few spare moments for an entry. This is a random thought entry:
New Quote from Katie
Katie (holding a magazine stuffer with SpongeBob on it): Daddy, this isn’t sticking on the wall
Me: It’s not a sticker
Katie: We’ll have to get the hammer
Turn, turn, turn
Amelia has figured out how to turn herself around completely now. She’s getting closer and closer to crawling, but she’s not quite there yet. She’s enjoyed seeing all the people at Thanksgiving – she’s just extremely social. On Sunday, Becky and I tried to go to the movie Borat (which I highly recommend to anyone who can handle crass humor) so we asked Becky’s coworker and husband to babysit. Amelia had no trouble staying with them, but Katie surgically attached herself to Becky’s leg and wouldn’t let us leave her. Amelia’s going to be a social butterfly – which will be odd since I wouldn’t call either Becky or me that.
Holiday Home Tour
We decided to have our house included on this year’s Holiday Home Tour in our town. The tour is set for next Thursday and about 50-60 people are expected to stomp through the house. Even though we’ve gotten out our holiday decorations, I don’t feel like we have enough stuff out – I’m afraid our house will look bare in comparison to the other houses on the list. I’m not sure why I care since I’m happy to show off the design and layout of our house, and it’s just a home tour, but I feel the need to go buy a bunch of silly santas to fill the house. Hopefully I won’t have time to get to a store between now and then so I just let it go.
